In almost every close friendship or relationship, there comes a time when the other person answers a question about you with full confidence, but they’re wrong. Not even close. In some way, that little miss says more than a hundred long talks ever did. As “Who knows me better” questions become more popular, this is the quiet truth behind them. At first glance, they look light. But they often cut deeper than people think they will.
It’s pretty easy to read. It can be friends, siblings, a couple, or coworkers. Two or more people take turns answering questions about one person in the group. How well do they know who that person is, their fears, likes, and past? People feel closer to each other after reading the answers, which can be funny or really touching. Or at least making you want to have a conversation.
This question works because of the range. Question 1: What’s my favorite color? Question 2: Am I a morning person or a nite owl? Question 3: What’s my favorite comfort food? It feels like these are just warm-up rounds. But they are useful. They take down the guard. People laugh when someone says their best friend likes tea when that friend has been drinking coffee every morning for ten years.
