Who We Are
Mindset & Skills was started by Christopher Diaz, a writer, marketer, and business owner. He started the blog to keep track of the work, business, and personal ideas, frameworks, and strategies that he keeps coming back to.
Christopher’s writing comes from his own experience with digital marketing and business development, as well as from his ongoing research into communication and behavioral psychology, and from hearing from people who work in different fields. Every post on this blog is a commitment to being correct, useful, and intellectually honest.
This is not a blog farm. This publication is focused and led by practitioners. It is based on the idea that motivated people can solve almost any problem with the right mindset and practical skills.
What We Write About
Our content covers six areas that are all connected:
Mindset and Mental Models: How to think more clearly, question beliefs that hold you back, and form the thinking habits that will help you succeed in the long run.
Internet marketing is the study of useful methods for getting more people to visit your website, starting an online business, and figuring out how to get around in the modern online world.
Communication and sales are the art and science of getting people to agree with you, negotiate, and connect with you in ways that get real results.
What it really takes to start, grow, and keep a business going, without all the hype and with a focus on the tough parts.
Tools, frameworks, and habits that help you get more done with less stress and more focus are called productivity and systems.
Motivation and personal growth are what allow you to do the work you need to do on the outside. How to stay strong, have a purpose, and be disciplined when things get hard.
Editorial Standards
We care a lot about being accurate. Before they are published, our articles go through a structured review to make sure that claims are true, that sources are cited correctly, and that opinion is kept separate from facts. We make it clear when something is a point of view or interpretation.
The things we write are based on experience, not guesswork. Articles are based on real-life examples, use reliable sources, and are updated when we learn more or the facts change. We are honest about who we are, how we make money (including affiliate links when they apply), and what we don’t know.
These are the EEAT principles: Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. They are not a list that we have to follow. They are the rules that we follow for all content before it goes live.
News, Opinion, and Content From Other Sources
Mindset & Skills also publishes news updates, changes in the industry, and opinion pieces from time to time. These can be about finance, politics, local and regional issues, and larger social and economic trends.
These pieces might use quotes, analysis, and points of view from business leaders, commentators, economists, and experts in the field. When we quote or summarize a third-party opinion, it is shown as the opinion of the source it came from, and the source is clearly cited.
We don’t agree with, check out, or take responsibility for the opinions of third parties that appear on this blog. Before acting on the information in this article, readers should look at primary sources, do their own research, and come to their own conclusions.
Very Important Note:
For educational and informational purposes only, any content on this site that talks about money, investing, income, or business results is published. It’s not the same as financial advice. Before making any financial decisions, you should talk to a licensed financial advisor, accountant, or certified financial planner.
Health and Medical Information: Any content about health, such as talking about mental health, wellness practices, or physical well-being, is only meant to be general information and should not be used instead of professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Before doing anything based on health information you read on this site, you should always talk to a qualified doctor or licensed healthcare provider.
Political and Legal Topics: The political commentary and legal references on this site are our opinions or the opinions of third parties that we cite. They are not meant to be legal advice. If you need help with legal rights, rules, or civic decisions, talk to a qualified lawyer or legal professional in your area.
Third-Party Opinions: Thought leaders in the field, guest writers, and outside sources that are quoted or linked to on this blog all give their own opinions. Mindset & Skills only publishes these points of view as third-party opinions and does not suggest that you act on them without first checking them out independently and getting professional advice.
